• 3042 Standing General ↕ 107cm
7042 Pedestal ↕ 28cm
Two thousand years ago, Q Shi Huangdi, first Emperor of China, created an army of life-sized terra cotta soldiers to guard his tomb and wage war after his death. Discovered in Xi’an, China, in 1974, over 7000 sculpted soldiers and war horses buried in military formation instantly emerged as one of the great archeological finds. These statues are faithful reproductions of characters typical of Qin’s Terra Cotta Army, and were recreated by Henri sculptors who actually worked on restorations at the original site in Xi’an. Hand made in durable Henri cast stone, their size and serene expressions make these statues ideal accents for home or garden, indoors or out.
